Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:13-14 to, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
What did Jesus mean when he said this? And how can we apply his words to our daily lives?
In my new book, Seeking the Narrow Gate: Living on the Narrow Road, we examine three transformational Bible verses that can help us to intentionally and practically pursue a narrow gate approach to life. We live in a fallen world, and it shouldn’t be a surprise to hear Jesus say that going along with the broad road (mainstream) approach to life will lead to destruction. But, as is always the case with God, we are also given the blessing and opportunity of a different path, a “narrow gate”, that leads to life, and that only a few find.
